RRS-8 Label Splicers Provide Significant Savings and Utility for Your Production Line

Do you have multiple small/partial rolls of labels that need to be wound into a single master roll, or several different rolls of labels that you would like to combine into one? If so, you need one of our bi-directional, Label Splicing Packages! Our turnkey Label Splicers enable you to combine multiple rolls together into a single large roll, or to change label types mid-production run.

Additionally, our Label Splicers include a digital counter display that verifies the total number of labels on the roll. The counter can also be pre-set to stop at a desired count, thereby enabling precise label distribution. Our Label Splicers are built to last with a stainless steel splicing table that accepts label widths from ½” to 8” (13 – 203mm). The system also includes two independently controlled CAT-3 Rewinder/Unwinders with bi-directional rewind capability and full tension control.

To perform a splice, you can either program the system to stop at a preset count, or you can manually stop the unit at the desired location. Hold-down clamps maintain the web in place for precision cutting/splicing. Milled grooves in the stainless-steel tabletop guide the cutting blade, and enable precise 90˚ and/or 80˚ cuts to be made as desired by the operator. The adhesive tape dispenser enables a piece of tape to be placed on the back of the web to splice the web together before a new label from the Alert Label Roll is placed on top of the splice. Taping the web together enables the newly spliced roll to be used continuously as though the splice did not exist even when the label over-top the splice is removed. Our Label Splicers come in two different sizes in order to accommodate your rolls. The RRS-8-12 Label Splicing Package will accommodate a maximum roll diameter of 12” (305mm), while the larger RRS-8-16 Label Splicing Package will accommodate rolls up to 16” (406mm) in diameter.
