For operations that demand fast, accurate label counting and powerful roll handling, our new RRC-400 Reel-to-Reel Counters provide a significant step-up in performance and versatility. Built for high-volume label rewinding and counting, the RRC-400 is faster and much more powerful than our smaller RRC-330 units. The RRC-400 is engineered to process large, heavy rolls with ease—handling rolls up to 16 inches in diameter and up to 40 lbs in weight without slowing down!

The RRC-400 can rewind at speeds up to 527 inches per second, enabling you to quickly rewind and count large quantities of labels consistently and accurately. Whether you’re validating label counts, reversing label orientation, inspecting roll quality, or preparing labels for application or packaging, the RRC-400 is the solution for achieving the results you need!

Versatility is a hallmark of the RRC-400. You can choose from a variety of core-holders, including 3"x6" Chucks, 3"x8" Chucks, and/or the ACH-RR-400 Adjustable Core Holder. All of these core-holders can be exchanged/mixed-and-matched on the RRC-400, thereby ensuring compatibility with the cores used by your label rolls. The Adjustable Core Holder can handle all core diameters from 1” to 4” thereby affording the ultimate flexibility. Both sides of the RRC-400 are motorized and the system is fully bi-directional, therefore you can rewind or unwind in either direction (left-to-right or right-to-left) with ease.

The RRC-400 also includes an advanced “Sync” mode that provides optimum real-time adjustments to speed and tension automatically during the rewind process without any operator intervention. This intuitive feature enables the RRC-400 to run at maximum efficiency without the necessity of any manual calibration. If you prefer direct control, the system can be switched into Manual Mode, thereby giving the operator full manual control over the speed and tension settings as desired.

The digital counter display of the RRC-400 includes a preset stop function, which enables the user to input a target count and have the unit automatically stop once the number is reached. This is an ideal feature for batching large rolls into multiple smaller rolls, and/or maintaining precise label management. The unit also includes External Roll Guides to help maintain a clean, flush edge and consistent roll quality while rewinding.

The RRC-400 is available in two models: The RRC-400 (standard) and the RRC-400-U (ultrasonic). The Standard model is made for handling opaque labels only, while the Ultrasonic model can handle both opaque and transparent labels. An optional Encoder can be added to the Standard model in order to count labels without gaps, and/or measure fixed material lengths.
